Baby elephant from Chiang Mai loves to cuddle with Arthur
Arthur and I traveled from Toronto, Canada in December 2012 Chiang Mai, Thailand, and visited the Patara Elephant Farm to become elephant owners for the day.
In contrast to other Elephant parks in Chiang Mai, Patara staff and owners focus exclusively on the health care and breeding management of these endangered species and support the recovery process of elephants injured by mine bombs - tourists come second.
When we arrived we had to work really hard and learn what it meant to care for these amazing creatures. This included feeding the elephants their daily meals, examining and squeezing the water from fresh stool, bathing, scrubbing and washing the elephants in the river and finally training the elephants in the jungle.
At the end of our day we had the unique opportunity to interact with a two month old calf named Tara play. As soon as she heard Arthur calling her, she ran over and cuddled him non-stop. It was an enchanting and unforgettable one Experience. The Video was taken at an elephant camp that shares property with the Chai Lai Orchid. The Chai Lai Orchid is an ecolodge in northern Thailand elephantsshares camp with 12 elephants. After two years of using this elephant herd for mass excursions, the Chai Lai Orchid is attempting to save this household of elephants and provide them with a sanctuary in northern Thailand.

Baby elephants are like the cutest puppies you will ever experience! We visited the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary in Chiang Mai, Thailand last January 2020.
It was a remarkable experience. We consulted with caretakers who cared for beautiful elephants rescued from tourist riding, as well as the logging industry that still exists today Thailand gives.
Elephant Jungle Shelter is a wonderful place with enough space for the elephants to walk easily and also rest in a comfortable place live away from riding and to please potential poachers.
It was a beautiful one Experienceto be among these wonderful animals! I would advise you to visit such shelters. While we were there we had the sweetest 3 weeks old Baby elephant named Luffy (yes influenced by One Pieces Ape D Luffy) and it was a fantastic and extraordinary experience!
