When the fog comes - Things I love

If you live in an urban jungle, it's likely that you sometimes wonder if the fog will ever end.

The city is full of people, cars and houses and the sky is often cloudy.

If you're wondering if the fog will ever end, there's good news: it will!

Fog is a natural phenomenon caused by the movement of air masses and temperature differences.

Fog usually forms near bodies of water, such as lakes or rivers, because the moist air above the water cools more quickly and precipitates in the form of fog.

The fog is also caused by movements in the atmosphere, such as wind moving the moist air over the water.

When the leaves fall, it's worth going up high to really make your day worthwhile.

I have that today done and it was worth it.

When the fog comes - In the fog

Strange to go for a walk in the fog!
Every bush and stone is lonely,
Incredible Tree sees the other,
Everyone is alone.
My world was full of friends,
As still mine live was light;
Now that the fog falls,
Nobody is visible anymore.
Verily, no one is wise,
Who does not know the darkness,
That inescapable and silent
Separates him from everything.
Strange to go for a walk in the fog!
live is being lonely.
No one knows the other,
Everyone is alone. - Hermann Hesse

What do you mean by fog?

In meteorology, fog is a part of the atmosphere in which water droplets are finely distributed and which is in contact with the ground, whereby the water droplets are formed by condensation of the water the moist and supersaturated air.

Technically speaking, fog is an aerosol, but in meteorological classification it is classified as a hydrometeor.

Fog is visible because light is scattered due to Mie scattering, which causes the Tyndall effect to occur and the actually colorless droplets become visible. Only when visibility is less than one kilometer is it considered fog.

Visibility between one and four kilometers is considered haze. A Fog in very limited spatial areas is called a fog bank and a day, on which fog occurred at least once, is considered a foggy day.

Fog and haze differ from clouds only in their contact with the ground, but are otherwise almost identical to them. In rising terrain, a cloud layer at higher altitudes can therefore become fog. In aviation, such cases are referred to as overlying clouds.

If visibility is between 500 and 1000 meters, it is called light fog, if it is 200 to 500 meters it is considered moderate fog, and if visibility is less than 200 meters it is called heavy fog. For laypeople, visibility of less than 300 meters is usually perceived as fog.
