The mountain gorillas are critically endangered species, there are only about 880 left in the world, all of them live in four national parks in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda and Uganda.
The national parks organize trekking for small groups to visit and observe the gorillas. The visits last one hour.
Virunga National Park in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo was Africa's first national park, founded in 1825 and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979.
