But it's not just the magnificent snow slopes that attract winter sports enthusiasts to Avers, it's the icefalls. Icefall climbing is possible in Avers from November to April.

The obverse is today is no longer an insider tip, but is considered an actual icefall climbing paradise.

Snow Switzerland – snow clearance on the Albula Pass
