Leonardo da Vinci quotes

More than 500 years ago there were men who imagined how Technology could change the world.

Then he moved in to completely destroy the globe and just did it.

He designed aircraft, a type of armored fighting vehicle, focused solar energy, an included device as well as the double sleeve, which also details a basic concept of plate tectonics.

But this man was, in today's terms, an artist, a student of ideology, physiology and the humanities.

He realized that without understanding human nature, science was just a game with no useful function or meaning.

Leonardo da Vinci, painter of The Last Dinner and also the Mona Lisa, was centuries ahead of his time when he showed us that innovation for the sake of technology will only inhabit time rather than unleashing the best of humanity.

Leonardo da Vinci: what did he really invent?

Leonardo posed many riddles. His notes, which total thousands of pages, contain futuristic war machines and flying machines.

But is he really their creator or is his achievement rather that he is his inventions Time collected?

Leonardo da Vinci is celebrated as a brilliant inventor, and we encounter many of his visionary designs every day.

He is considered the developer of the ball bearing, the diving bell and countless flying machines.

With the help of a team of international experts, “Terra X” follows the question of whether some inventions may have been prematurely attributed to Leonardo da Vinci. An answer can be found in Leonardo's workbooks.

Around 7000 of around 13 pages have been preserved, filled with drawings and notes in mirror writing that is difficult to decipher. Scientists compared 000th-century drawings by the famous engineer Mariano di Jacopo, better known as Taccola, with Leonardo's sketches.

Parallels between Taccola's notes and Leonardo's notebooks are clearly visible. And there is evidence that Leonardo da Vinci actually knew the writings of Taccola, who was 70 years his senior.

A book by Taccola containing Leonardo's handwritten notes was found in his library.

A parachute sketched in it can also be found in Leonardo's books.

An invention also credited to Leonardo da Vinci is a war machine that was centuries ahead of its time: the tank.

But historians are convinced that the basic principles of the tank had been designed long before. Almost 50 years before Leonardo's birth, the work “Bellifortis”, an illustrated manuscript dedicated to the art of war, was published.

In “Bellifortis” a tank is depicted that closely resembles Leonardo's.

Decades later, Leonardo probably adopted individual details from these designs for his own, more complex tank.

Scenically enlivened by sophisticated re-enactments, the “Terra Background was rediscovered, further developed and preserved for posterity.
