Even fractions of a second can be crucial 🙂

Newton's 3rd Law - Let go at the right moment

As we learned in Physics 211, we fully understand that Newton's Third Law states that for every reaction there is an equivalent and also opposite reaction.

The same applies to the physics behind the basketball shot.

To gain an understanding of basketball, we must consider the speed required to achieve the main goal of the basketball and get the basketball into the hoop.

The starting point:
A fraction before the end of stoppage time, the teams are tied.

The yellow team (Randolph Macon) scores the game-winning free throw. (at least it seems that way)
The second throw misses.
One player (Guilford) gets the rebound and throws the ball milliseconds before the final siren.
And the rest… see for yourself.
The greatest sporting moment in the History the NCAA.
The Hero of the day is called Jordan Snipes.

"Basketball is a complicated game that requires switching from one purpose to another in a flash. To excel, you have to act clearly and be completely focused.” – Phil Jackson

Great Spieler don't care about a missed shot or a bad pass. You will not be of thoughts distracted, winning or losing.

These athletes are playing in the moment because that's all they can control.
